Meta's #Threads wants to federate. Federated instances, rightly, shouldn't trust #Meta to be a good actor - but ethical challenges can sometimes conflict with the practicalities of connecting people through the #Fediverse. So, where and how do we draw that line?
The whole #Web is based on #HTML. So, why don't we value it being written well and semantically meaningful? MySpace proved anyone can write it - yet now we don't seem to care about writing it well. That's sad.
